Man charged with possession of homemade silencer
Police have charged a man with possession of a homemade silencer.At about 1 a.m. Tuesday, DPS troopers responded to the area near 16th and Lavaca streets after one trooper noticed what he called a suspicious vehicle.
After talking to the driver, 33-year old Rickey Lankford, troopers decided to inspect the vehicle.
Lankford was taken into custody while the vehicle was searched. He was later charged with possession of a homemade silencer, a third degree felony and booked into the Travis County Jail.
